About Beacon56

Beacon56 is run by me, Duncan Murtagh. Not a faceless data vendor, one person you can actually email back.

I've spent years building data and software products. I co-founded Vetter back in 2011, and I run RedHawk, where I do this exact kind of work, turning messy public datasets into clean, usable contact data, for recruitment firms. Beacon56 is that same job pointed at the UK care sector: the CQC register, cleaned, enriched with the contacts you actually need, and kept current every month.

I built it because I kept seeing the same thing, the data exists, but it's a mess, and everyone wastes the same days cleaning it before they can sell. So I do that part once, properly, and you get on with calling.

How often is the file delivered?

Monthly. We pull the latest CQC release, compare it against the previous month to catch every change, re-enrich anything that's new or different, re-verify every email on file, and send it over. You'll typically get your file within a few days of CQC publishing the update.

How fresh are the emails?

Every email in your monthly file has been verified within the last 30 days. Not "checked at some point in 2024" — every email reverified every month, with any bounces replaced and any provider that had a manager change re-enriched from scratch.

What counts as a region?

We use the nine standard CQC regions: South East, London, North West, East of England, West Midlands, South West, Yorkshire & The Humber, East Midlands, and North East. On the Regional plan you pick up to two; each extra region after that is £30/month. Need a specific county, postcode radius, or local authority area instead? That's a Bespoke plan.

What service types are included?

By default we cover the full UK care universe — domiciliary care, care homes (with and without nursing), supported living, extra care housing, and shared lives. That's roughly 29,000 active providers across the UK. If you only sell into one of those segments we can filter your file accordingly at no extra charge.

What kind of emails do you find?

We prioritise direct work emails at company domains — for example name@carehomename.co.uk. Personal addresses (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo) are excluded. Where a direct email isn't findable we include the company's general contact email. Every email is verified within the last 30 days.

Is this GDPR compliant?

The source data is published by CQC under the Open Government Licence. The contact details we enrich are business contact information for registered professionals acting in their professional capacity, which falls within legitimate interest for B2B outreach. We'd still recommend your own legal review if you have specific compliance requirements.
